WE ARE GOOD AT LISTENING
We understand what communities are saying. We know how crucial this skill can be. It makes our final plans more accurate and robust. And it generates enthusiastic support. We carefully explore difficult issues with communities, such as how new housing can halt decline and be accommodated in the most sensitive way. We have organised and run events in places as diverse as Birmingham, Dorset, York, Kent, Somerset, Southampton, Oxfordshire, Devon, Cornwall, Bath and Manchester.
WE ARE MAKE GOOD PLACES
We have creative ideas. Based on clear evidence and strong logic, these ideas reflect the best in good urbanism. They are practical, inclusive and engaging. We generate exciting images using a wide range of graphic techniques. We combine digital media with traditional hand drawing skills. We can express your vision.
WE ARE GOOD AT EXPLAINING
We want everybody to appreciate the benefits of good design. That is why we offer design training and education. Feria has developed course content and delivered training events and study tours to town planners, urban designers, local councillors and highway engineers. We have also provided mentoring and support for local authority designers.
WE MAKE GOOD INTERVENTIONS
We are experts in urban analysis. We reveal the essential elements of towns and cities. We identify the problems and provide the answers. We know what makes places tick. Feria provides advice on a wide range of built environment issues including new buildings, public realm and green space strategies. We have provided specialist design advice to local planning authorities and regional agencies, including advice on Conservation Areas and Listed Buildings; on new residential and mixed-use schemes; on large employment allocations; and on new hotel projects. We have also given expert witness evidence at a public inquiry.
