We are a close-knit team of five. Some of us design, some of us code, the rest get stuck into marketing and spreadsheets. We’re also supported by a team of tried and tested specialists – from photography, illustration, copywriting and proofing to CMS, marketing and even translation experts.

Just like most agencies out there say, we offer “value for money and outstanding creativity on time and on budget”. But unlike most agencies out there, we think Will Ferrell deserves an Oscar for his performance in Semi-Pro. We also obsess about the finer detail – which we think is where design projects are usually won or lost. Okay, that may sound dramatic, but we’ve seen a grown adult cry like a babe when they discovered they’d misspelt ‘scan’ as ‘scab’ on their website – nasty.

Anyway, we’re a dedicated bunch who love what we do. Of course, we don’t always have all the answers, but we will work really hard for you. Above all, we get results for our clients (see what they say about us in the portfolio section). Our environmental ethos is also enormously important to us – it’s not just greenwash (check out our environmental statement, it’s a ripping read); and we have a great track record at working with environmental, not-for-profit, social enterprise, charitable and third sector organisations.
We work in an open-plan studio in a lovely Georgian building in bohemian St Paul’s in the throbbing heart of Bristol. We’re surrounded by art galleries, underground clubs and cider houses – all very ‘baggy and louche’, but eternally inspiring. Our part of the town has the world famous Pieminister eatery and the wonderful Bell pub on Jamaica Street. And if you want a bit of posh tucker, there’s Bell’s Diner, which is bloody lovely.

If you want to chat over a cup of fresh, Fairtrade coffee and an organic banana, we’re right at the end of the M32. Temple Meads train station is just 15 minutes walk (we can come and meet you) with stacks of buses running to Bristol’s new retail bohemoth, Cabot Circus (locally known as Carboot Circus), which is a 60 second light canter away.

Chris Wilson: Creative director
Creative director with an unhealthy obsession for typography. Given half a chance he will send you into a trance talking about his other passion – Austrian Jazz Funk. You have been warned. He graduated in 1992 with a degree in Information Graphics from Nottingham Polytechnic and passed through a few high-brow jobs like chicken catching and brick hoddy, before setting up blu inc in 1996. He hasn’t looked back...
Jayne Graham-Cummings: Senior designer
With first class honours in Graphic Design from University of Wales Newport, Jayne, our senior designer, has since designed extensively for charities, social enterprises and the third sector. She also takes her responsibility for keeping the team laughing very seriously indeed. She loves a bit of outdoor technical clothing, and in real life does actually go on ridiculously long hikes (presumably wearing her outdoor technical clothing).
